It goes without saying that if any of these cameras become outdated (because their successor has since be released) it’s probably not a bad idea to check out the newest version of each camera listed. Again, these are just recommendations based on what I’ve personally used, or researched. As you can see, I’m also very partial to Canon, Panasonic and Sony – which for my money, produce the best video equipment available. But visit some of the above linked websites, NewEgg, B&H, and Amazon – coupled with any info from DPreview.com – and make your own conclusions and decisions.
Good hunting!

Olympus to build on digital camera selection
Anyone impressed with the Olympus MJU-6000 and 7000 digital camera ranges will be excited to hear about the manufacturer’s latest plans.
Olympus says the affordable new selection of cameras it is lining up are designed for users who want high-quality images, regardless of their budget.
Like the MJU-7000 line, which comes in blue, silver and black, the new cameras will feature dual image stabilisation.
In English, that means you can take pictures in crowded environments without your images turning out blurry.
And a wide zoom function will let you take great group shots and close-ups of things or people that are a bit further away from you than you might like.
