Help, Please. I’m looking to buy a camera but I don’t know much on cameras and have been doing my research. I recently came across the Olympus SP-800UZ, and I wanted to know what are the pros and cons and if it was a bang for your buck because there’s not many reviews on YouTube for it. I did my research (read 30+ reviews) on it too but I’m not quite sold on it yet. Please reply as soon as possible. Thank You

@locoken There are things I don’t like about it. With any product there’s always pros & cons. I wish that they put the tripod socket in the middle where most of the weight is so that when I put it on a mini tripod I won’t have problems balancing it. I also use this for time lapse. It’ll be easier to change the battery without taking the tripod mount off & trying to figure out how far I zoomed in.

@locoken No prob. I think majority thought I was a boy until they see my username or read my profile. hehe It IS a great camera. Alot of pics are sharp, which surprised me. It’s like I took it with a Canon L or Nikkor lense. I’ve been using panoramic setting alot. I have a couple on my flickr page (link on my profile).

Just so you know Punch, I bought this camera and the Fuji HS10 so I could test them both for myself in the comfort of my own home and time. The features on the Fuji are nice, but I found them to be just that, Nice. I would probably never use half the features anyway so I sent it back. The Oly is plenty of camera for a point-and-shoot and will suit my needs until I can afford a nice DSLR again. I was only looking for a good P&S to take on the go and this one works just fine for that!

@vanzemljak 1ST I may sound young in the video but I’m a couple years younger than you. 2ND I’m a working professional photographer. I got this for vacations so that I wouldn’t have to bring my 20 pound SLR with my big 70-200mm lens. 3RD through research & price I found this was the best alternative for that. 4TH I did this video for fun.
Yes it’s not the best quality because the sensor is small but I’m not looking to sell pictures I shot with this. I’m just looking to capture moments.

Kid, I dont have anything against you..whatsoever…Its good to have ambitious life full of review BUT if you unbox come device first try to use it from 3min (at least) to 24h before talking how great the camera is..becouse this one is dediated to “what not ” wannabee and other entry-level point&shoot amateurs…Recommendation these days are so under every criteria

@jasanpahaf For editing HD video you have to get a fast computer: fast processor, fast hard drive, lots of ram. I’m a PC user & I use Ulead Videostudio. There are torrents to get it free with a serial number. It’s just as good as Final Cut or Sony Vegas. You can do split screen, green screen.
